Meet the musicians of the National Gathering for Prayer & Repentance: Part 3 of 5 - Criston Moore

Who is the keyboardist, Criston Moore, who accompanied the National Gathering for Prayer and Repentance so powerfully?

Criston Moore's story begins in Bakersfield, California, where he was the ninth of ten siblings in a family brimming with musical prowess. At just three years old, Criston found his passion for music, immersing himself in piano playing and vocal performances. As the years progressed, his musical talents blossomed, establishing him as a sought-after singer and music director for various local groups and artists. Criston's path, however, extended beyond these accomplishments. He felt a deep calling to worship leadership, eagerly stepping into roles as a worship leader and pastor within his community church. This was merely the start of Criston's remarkable journey.
 

This journey would lead Criston through many incredible opportunities, leading him to perform on prestigious platforms such as Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN), BET, ESPN, and TNT. He also toured internationally as a background vocalist for the celebrated worship leader and group Israel Houghton and New Breed.

Today, Criston's journey has brought him to a pivotal role as a worship pastor and the director of worship arts ensembles at Cal Baptist University. Here, he is fully committed to fostering global unity through the power of worship. Alongside his wife, Kelsie, of seven years, and their son, Jacob, Criston exemplifies his ministry in every facet of his life, transcending the boundaries of the stage.
 
Recently, Criston completed writing his first worship book, drawing from his extensive experience in worship leadership and speaking at various workshops, conferences, and classes. This book is crafted to serve as a resource for worship leaders, pastors, and anyone seeking fresh perspectives on worship leadership. Criston's aim is to empower and nurture the next generation of worship leaders, firmly believing in the book's potential to make a significant contribution to the Worship and Arts community. He seeks to publish later this year.

In his ministry, Criston has witnessed the powerful work of God's grace, transforming lives and offering hope to the downtrodden. With humility, he considers it an honor to serve the church and, alongside his family, aims to demonstrate the profound impact of living a life dedicated to God's service. For Criston, his family's journey is a living testimony to God's faithfulness, driven by a shared commitment to shine His light in the world and leave a lasting imprint on the hearts they touch.
