The Scripture clearly and succinctly states, “Blessed is the Nation Whose God is the Lord.” (Psalm 33:12) However, that raises an interesting question: How many nations have the God of the Bible as their Lord?
Perhaps there is another way of asking the question: How many nations have declared the God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob to be their God by way of their national anthems? After all, the national anthems are the actual words that they chose for themselves.

This question first came to my mind when we were visiting the Latvian Parliament in Riga, Latvia in March of 2023.
We were invited to come to the Chapel in the Parliament Building where a woman sang the Latvian National Anthem for us. She explained that it was a prayer. Here she is singing the Latvian National Anthem.
