BRIEF UPDATE – National Gathering for Prayer and Repentance

Greetings,

We want to give you a brief update. The National Gathering for Prayer and Repentance will be on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, from 7-9am at the Museum of the Bible in Washington, DC, preceded by a “standup breakfast reception,” from 6:00-6:45am. The breakfast will be in the Promenade Gallery, but the 7am prayer and repentance event will be in the “The Gathering” (6th floor), with overflow in the Theatre (main entrance on 5th floor). Seating is first-come, first-served. Please spread the word to as many as you can. This event will be available via livestream as well.



Our focus is prayer and repentance. No sermons. No speeches. Exceptions: Three or so persons will call us to repentance. The focus will be prayer and repentance. The program will consist, as indicated, of numerous elected officials (Members of Congress) and faith leaders, leading in prayers of repentance. There are also persons coming from other countries to join us in prayer for America.

Will people gather at 7am to pray and repent? If they understand the current condition of America, they will.

The organizers for this event are Tony Perkins (Family Research Council) and me (Jim Garlow of Well Versed), assisted by Congressman Mike Johnson, Attorney Mike Farris, and Pam Pryor, formerly with the U.S. State Department.

There will likely be 20 or more co-sponsoring organizations. Each sponsoring organization will receive a set number of tickets (to be determined). For all others who are attending, the cost of tickets will be very reasonable, and will be announced soon.

When you consider what occurred in the White House on Tuesday, December 13, it is obvious how badly our nation needs to repent. This is truly a "can 10 righteous persons be found in Sodom" type of moment in America. You are needed to "stand in the gap" in identificational repentance on behalf of our national sins as Daniel did in Babylon (Daniel 9).
