Greg Berg graduated Oral Roberts University in 1985 with a BA cum laude in New Testament theology
and a minor in business administration and in 2017 graduated with a MDiv with high honors. He is
currently a First Vice President for Merrill Lynch in Houston, TX, a Certified Private Wealth Advisor®, a
Chartered Retirement Planning Consultant®, a Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor, a Certified Special Needs
Advisor, a Kingdom Advisor charter member and an instructor for the Biblical Stewardship Series for the
Timothy Funds. He has been with Merrill Lynch since July 2005 and was a Financial Advisor at Morgan
Stanley from 1998 to 2005.
He works with High-net-worth families, professionals, and business owners who seek wealth
preservation strategies with a global perspective to their investment and risk management. He desires
to know the goals, dreams, and aspirations of his clients so a course of action can be planned to meet the
client’s goals. As a CRPC® designee, Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor ® , Mr. Berg has a passion
for planning to meet the cash flow needs of today’s retiree. It goes beyond accumulating wealth; it deals
with creating an income stream to meet the needs of his clients upon retirement.
He is also the President of Action Ministries Houston, Inc. This is a 501(c)3 that seeks to serve through a
wide variety of charitable endeavors. This includes providing shoes to underprivileged children,
providing disaster relief support, and other faith-based initiatives. He has traveled
domestically/internationally training men to be better husbands, fathers, and citizens. One of the
initiatives is the Global Fatherhood Initiative which seeks to train fathers to be active participants in
their marriage and lives of their children. A guiding principle is “Christlikeness and manhood are
synonymous.”
He is very active in his church with the men’s ministry and life groups. He has spent 9 years serving on
the ORU Alumni Board of Directors. He enjoys photography, reading, and collecting sports memorabilia
and coins. He is a graduate of the Houston FBI Citizens Academy, the Houston ATF Citizens Academy,
and the Houston DEA Citizens Academy. He and his wife, Romelia, enjoy traveling and spending time
with their granddaughter.
