Meet the Musicians of the National Gathering for Prayer & Repentance - Part 6 of 6: Doug McClure and Ricky Heger

Who is the cellist, Doug McClure, and his stellar accompanist, Ricky Heger, who performed so powerfully at the National Gathering for Prayer and Repentance?

You heard them. Now let us tell you about them.
Doug McClure began playing the cello at age 9. Upon graduating with a Master's Degree from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Doug began his professional career as a cellist in the San Francisco Ballet and the San Francisco Opera Orchestras.

After several years of performing professionally as an orchestral cellist, Doug began a career as a cello soloist that has taken him around the world. An "ambassador of peace, reconciliation, and goodwill" among the nations through music and media, Doug has had the privilege of performing for a number of world leaders and government assemblies in a variety of settings.
Ricky Heger is currently pursuing his Bachelor’s Degree in music education and international diplomacy at the University of the Nations. Ricky also serves as the Associate Director of Symphony of Hope International - a music and leadership training program with a special outreach focus to bring hope and leadership skills to the children and young people of the world.

Symphony of Hope pilot programs have begun with children and young people from India, Germany, Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq, Jordan, Kurdistan, Papua New Guinea, native Hawaiians and the children of the Pacific Island nations. Symphony of Hope is well on its way to touching the lives of children from every nation on earth. Based in Kona, Hawaii, this unique and exciting program is multiplying rapidly around the world. Symphony of Hope has already touched the lives of over 300 million people around the world.
